An Observation

We had our meeting for July almost 2 weeks ago. The meeting was transformed into BSURE's very own talk show where members were selected to take on certain characters from the book The Darkest Child by Delores C. Phillips.  Needless to say, it was entertaining and eye opening at the same time. I didn't realize that some of the members had it in them to be such good actors. At any rate, everyone enjoyed themselves, including our guest.

I was thinking recently about all of the deaths that had happened within the last several weeks. Farrah Fawsett, Steve McNair, Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson,  and now we read about the death of E. Lynn Harris.  I first read E. Lynn probably in the early 90s. I have to admit, it took some getting used to. He wasn't one that would mix his words or sugarcoat. He was straight to it, no in between. But after awhile, I started to really enjoy his writing and can now consider myself to be a fan. To hear of his death at age 54 so suddently was a total surprise. I haven't read yet where there's been an official cause of death. But considering how many high profile deaths have occurred lately, it makes you step back and realize how unpredictable life can be.

One thing I hope is that every day I live, I can look back and say that I made the most out of every opportunity to spend with family and people I care about the most. Because we don't know when our last day may be.  Take it to heart and let's all be blessed!

I'm Back!

Yes, it's been forever since I've posted. But I'm trying to keep the site updated with thoughts of our meetings and books that I've read.

We are preparing for our July meeting and have selected The Darkest Child by Delores C. Phillips.  Our last discussion got pretty heated when we covered Steve Harvey's Act Like a Lady Think Like A Man. Both men and women were anxious to share their views on the so called lessons in dating and finding love that were presented. Everyone respected each others opinions, but make no mistake, several topics got under the members skin.  For example, interracial dating, Mama's boys, and loose women just to name a few got everyone talking. All in all, it was a great meeting and left us wishing we had more time to talk.

I will post soon about how the next meeting went.  Be blessed to all who have stopped by to visit the site and thanks for supporting BSURE .

We have provided two contact emails to be sure your request for info about us is received.  Again, I look foward to hearing from you as we push a big membership drive this year with BSURE.
